Description We are on the lookout for a diligent and meticulous Controller to join our team in New York. The role entails managing the accounting department, working closely with external auditors, and overseeing accounting functions. This position is a short-term contract that will be instrumental in handling monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closes.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring smooth and accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closes.

• Collaborating with external auditors to complete the annual audit.

• Applying working knowledge of ASC 606 - Revenue Recognition accounting.

• Overseeing the operations of the accounting department.

• Leveraging different accounting software systems for efficient operation.

• Managing financial services, including accounts payable and receivable.

• Ensuring compliance with DCAA regulations.

• Utilizing ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions for accounting functions.

• Conducting auditing and budget processes.

• Handling revenue recognition, revenue accounting, and revenue cycle processes.

• Executing month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliation.

• Managing monthly and quarterly balance sheet and bank reconciliation.

• Employing Oracle NetSuite Technologies for effective financial management and accounting operations. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of DCAA compliance and regulations

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to utilize ERP Solutions effectively

• Competence in executing Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience in Auditing

• Understanding of Budget Processes

• Ability to ensure Proper Revenue Recognition

• Knowledge of Revenue Recognition Accounting, Guidance, and Policies

• Familiarity with Revenue Accounting and Revenue Cycle Processes

• Experience in Revenue Forecasting

• Expertise in Month End Close, Month-end Close Activities, and Month-end Financial reporting

• Ability to prepare Month-end Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Monthly Account Reconciliation, Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Monthly Bank Reconciliation

• Experience in Monthly Close Processes, Monthly Closings, and Monthly Financial Close

• Ability to prepare Monthly and Quarterly reports

• Experience in Year End Closings, Year-end Audits, Year-end Close, and Year-end Financial Statements

• Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite Technologies
