Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Senior Consultant in New York, New York and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. Work You’ll Do Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities. • 50% Travel required nationally. • Telecommuting permitted. • Work location includes various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. Requirements Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following: • Designing and developing applications using Python Frameworks, Java Spring Boot, Apache Spark, Apache Thrift, ReactJS, Node.js, and Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) to meet functional needs for software applications; • Developing and launching automation solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) CodeCommit, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, Jenkins, and AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2); • Delivering full-life cycle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices-based solutions using Database (DB) Architecture and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), ReactJS, Python-based Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs, and AWS Lambda functions across Web, Mobile, and Cloud architectures; • Performing software development in Visual Studio Code, PyCharm, Eclipse, and IntelliJ IDEA development environments and web service testing using JMeter, Postman, and SoapUI; • Designing and maintaining coding standards to enhance application development using ESLint, PyChecker, and autodeps; • Performing aspects of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, application configuration design, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues utilizing Microsoft (MS) Office Suite; and • Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code using LucidCharts, Visual Studio Code, Unified Modeling Language (UML), ERD, and Figma Interface Design.
