Job Title: Clinical Trainer SupervisorGrade: 29Salary: $112,451 - $133,975The Clinical Trainer supervisor will provide training and technical assistance for OnTrackNY and OnTrackUSA. Additionally, this individual will help to provide supervision to the training team to ensure the maintenance of a high-quality training approach, while also identifying training needs and making recommendations to the OnTrackNY Director. OnTrackNY is a statewide initiative designed to provide early intervention services to adolescents and young adults experiencing a newly emerging psychotic disorder. OnTrackUSA provides training and technical assistance to states outside of New York in delivering the OnTrackNY approach to Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC). OnTrackNY delivers evidence-based practices through a multi-disciplinary, team-based approach. OnTrackNY training focuses on specific interventions designed to support individuals in their pursuit of social, academic, and vocational goals. The philosophies of recovery-oriented services, shared decision making, and equity are essential to this model of care. The incumbent must be familiar with multidisciplinary treatment team approaches that are focused on effective engagement and outreach. Familiarity with evidence based psychosocial treatment approaches such as motivational interviewing, social skills training and cognitive behavioral therapy is necessary. Furthermore, experience with effective training strategies and supervision is also required.This initiative is under the Center for Practice Innovations (CPI) within the Division of Behavioral Health Services and Policy Research. The Clinical Trainer Supervisor will report to the co-director/ clinical training director of OnTrackNY and work closely with other OnTrack Central staff. This role has the option to do remote work. Duties and Responsibilities:Duties and Responsibilities include:•Provide training and technical assistance to agency leaders, supervisors, and practitioners on the OnTrackNY model for the Team Leader, Primary Clinician, Supported Employment and Education, and Outreach and Recruitment roles. This training will occur in a variety of formats: face to face regional training sessions, conference calls, on-site consultation visits, on-line meetings, and webinars. •Participate in the development of training materials, including manuals, clinical tools, modules, slide presentations, demonstration videos and other products as needed. •Supervise and mentor the training team by providing support, modelling training strategies, and overseeing the delivery of training content and integration if new training material. •Provide recommendations to the OnTrackNY Director to improve the training strategy and improve implementation. •Facilitates the integration of fidelity and outcomes data into training strategy for quality improvement. •Other tasks as required.•Special requirements: Must be able to do some day traveling throughout downstate New York area and occasional traveling overnight in upstate New York state. Additional travel may also be requiredMinimum Qualifications:•Doctoral level clinical degree in psychology, social work, or other mental health counseling specialty, and associated clinical license. •At least 10 years of experience as a clinician providing recovery-oriented services to adolescents and young adults living with severe mental illness. Experience with adolescents and young adults experiencing a first episode of psychosis is highly desirable. •At least 5 years of supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications:•One year experience with manualized treatment models. •One year experience in recovery-oriented, shared decision making, and team-based approaches. •One year experience in CBTp, structured behavioral interventions, motivational interviewing, and family interventions. •One year experience providing training to mental health clinicians.•Demonstrated commitment to racial equity.•Experience with using data for quality improvement and integrating a data-focused lens on training and implementation.•Experience with systems-level implementation and organizational change.Work Location: 1051 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10032To Apply: Submit an application through our website at https://nyspi.applicantpro.com/jobs/.
