We are looking for a Capital Markets Manager to help us drive our funding strategy and long-term scalability. We are focused on accelerating our growth and scaling the business and this role is critical to our success. There is a tremendous amount of innovation ahead to achieve this scale with institutional partners, capital providers and banks.

The role has high visibility in the organization and can influence the strategic execution of large transactions for the business. This role will be based out of an Intuit office located in San Francisco, CA; Mountain View, CA; New York, NY; with a remote option as well. This position will report to the Group Manager, Capital Markets for QuickBooks Capital.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years experience in lending/capital markets, preferably from a FinTech company, specialty finance lender, asset management firm or bank

  • Experience with asset backed credit facilities, whole loan sales and securitizations

  • Familiarity with investor reporting on performance and covenants

  • Experience with R, Python, Matlab, Tableau a plus

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and quickly changing environment

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simply lay out the conclusions and reasons for each decision

  • Excellent motivational abilities, willingness to teach and coach, and ability to learn quickly

  • Ability to work cross functionally across multiple teams including compliance, risk, product, credit, legal and engineering and manage projects from start to finish

Domain Knowledge

  • Good understanding of the end to end operations of a lending business from targeting through to collections. Understanding of the risks we take with a special emphasis on the liability side of the balance sheet. Broad understanding of funding structures for specialty finance companies and the nuance of the operational details of implementing and automating operations.

How you will lead

  • Strategic planning, development, and execution of capital markets structures including warehouse facilities, forward flow programs and securitizations

  • Structuring, diligence and contract negotiations with existing and new partners

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners - investors, leverage providers and third party agents

  • Build forecasting models and tools to assist with liquidity management and drive capital markets intelligence and efficiencies

  • Work closely with product and data teams to make investor and capital markets reporting more efficient and automated

  • Partner with Treasury, Finance, Investor Relations and Strategy teams to maintain a framework for balance sheet management across lending products

  • Develop automated dashboards and monitoring for current and future financing structures to track performance and get in front of any potential covenant issues

  • Advise key stakeholders on market color and investor sentiment for strategic decision making
