ABOUT THE ROLE
HFH Summer Camps is seeking a dedicated and organized Camp Program Director. This position will work under the Camp Administrator to plan, develop, and supervise our sleep-away summer camp operations for the 2025 camp season. The Camp Program Director is required to stay at camp for the duration of the camp season. The Camp Program Director will be responsible for staff recruitment, planning & development of staff orientation, and the daily camps program schedule. The Camp Program Director will also be responsible for the supervision of staff, campers, and the day-to-day program operations of camp. This position will also be responsible for the implementation of Department of Health and American Camp Association standards and regulations. The work of the Camp Program Director will directly impact on the safety and well-being of our campers, staff, and the camp community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
During the off season, the candidate will work from the central office on camp administrative items, as well as conducting recruitment events at our HFH facilities, and stay at camp during the summer camp season.
Supervises all onsite camp staff and campers during the camp season and oversees all onsite camp program operations and administrative processes.
Responsible and accountable for the development, planning, and implementation of the staff orientation and daily camp program schedule.
Responsible for staff recruitment and administrative onboarding processes with Camp Administrator and HFH Human Resources.
Must demonstrate strong administrative skills and record keeping of DOH, ACA, and parks administrative requirements.
Record and report all incidents and accidents to the Camp Administrator and Senior Director of Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrate leadership and organizational abilities with strong administrative skills.
Preferred previous camp experience in a residential or day camp environment is a plus.
Pass State Central Register Database Check (LDSS-3370) and background check.
Required to have a bachelor’s degree (education, social work, youth development, camp administration, etc.) preferred.

SALARY:
$62,400
