What You’ll Be Doing
As a Business Systems Analyst on the US Compliance Technology team, you’ll be at the heart of the next-generation tools we’re building to transform CIBC’s risk management capabilities and enable our bank’s continued growth. You will be responsible for helping to design, develop, and deploy business-facing technology solutions across the Firm. The role requires a solid understanding of business requirements documentation and software development processes. This position will work closely with the business technology team in a highly collaborative manner to interface with the internal teams as well as key stakeholder groups. Projects will include Outside Business Activities, trade surveillance; affiliate transactions (Regulation W); gifts & entertainment; Dodd Frank (1071); and fair lending.

How You’ll Succeed
Strong Technical Partner - Be part of a business technology team responsible for owning and executing delivery of custom solutions that are uniquely tailored to the business' needs.
Collaboration – Engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand the business objectives and functional requirements necessary to perform their roles efficiently and effectively. Closely collaborate with Business Management, Information Technology, and outside vendors to develop and implement new applications and tools for use by the business.
Technical Skills – Perform requirements gathering, solution design, functionality development, user acceptance testing, training, and deployment.
Application Analysis - Evaluate the suitability of existing/potential tools to fulfill business needs.
Understand and Document Requirements - Elicit, capture and interpret business problems from multiple perspectives; present implications and recommendations with strategic perspective, influencing project parameters and outcomes.
Communication - Develop requirements, write user stories, and design user interfaces of any new functionality that can be understood and built by the development team.
Continuous Learning – Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, changes in the banking industry, and regulatory developments.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate 4-8 years of experience in . Business Systems Analysis within financial services industry. Experience working on Technology projects and engaging with stakeholders at all levels to understand the business objectives and functional requirements is a must. A post-secondary degree and a solid experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) is ideal.
You understand banking fundamentals. Exposure to risk management, capital stress testing, credit risk models, and regulatory compliance would be particularly relevant.

Total Rewards
At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $94,400 - $138,500 for the New York, New York market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
