Description

Specialized New York City firm is currently seeking a Bookkeeper. The main responsibilities include maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments, and utilizing the ERP system to analyze financial operations to aid in business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain various financial records including sales, receipts, payments, and purchases within the ERP system.

  • Managing day-to-day transactions, entering and verifying bills, invoices and purchase orders into the ERP system.

  • Reconciling bank statements and conducting financial analysis on a regular basis.

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Work within the ERP system to produce and deliver financial statements to management

  • Assisting with payroll operations and maintaining employee records within the ERP system.

  • Ensure accuracy of financial documents as well as compliance with relevant tax and financial laws.

  • Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conduct periodic audits.

  • Use the ERP system to streamline accounting functions and operations.

  • Identify system optimizations and process improvements.

The ideal candidate should have excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask is essential. Experience working with ERP systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret and analyze financial data are key to performing well in this role. Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper.

  • Proficient knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel.

  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
