We are offering an opportunity for a Branch/Retail Banking Clerk to join our team in New York. As part of our banking operations team, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including the intake of ACH and Fed files, verifying signatures on incoming checks, answering calls to branches and customers, and more. This opportunity is a contract position that will allow you to utilize and develop your banking operation skills in a professional setting.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the intake of ACH and Fed files as part of the back office banking operations

• Verify signatures on incoming checks and process return deposited items

• Handle NSF check and ACH returns and payments

• Answer calls to branches and customers, providing excellent customer service

• Process wire transfers via the Fed and send emails to branches and outside companies

• Handle the ATM Monitoring report/emails and CD interest checks

• Take responsibility for government reclamations and file checking account signature cards

• Remove closed account signature cards and monitor new mobile and remote deposit enrollments

• Pick up answering machine messages and save emails from branches

• Utilize CRM and Microsoft Excel for various banking operations tasks

Requirements • Role requires proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of banking operations is essential

• Hands-on experience with cash activities and check processing is desirable

• Knowledge of commercial banking is beneficial

• Must be able to manage and execute bank transactions efficiently

• Strong understanding of compliance regulations within the banking sector

• Familiarity with branch or retail banking duties is a plus

• No prior work experience is necessary as training will be provided

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment

• Must have high attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
