The Greenwald Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences is seeking an Associate Research Scientist to study conserved signaling systems that convey information between cells, tissues, and organs during C. elegans development. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research on the regulation of organ development in different starvation paradigms. The research will include generating strains by classical genetics and/or genome engineering, genetic mosaic analysis, RNAi screening for suppressors and/or enhancers of mutant phenotypes, and detailed anatomic characterization of mutants and mosaics.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in biology or a related field
At least three years of postdoctoral experience working with C. elegans
Preferred qualifications:
Experience mentoring undergraduate trainees
