New York University Associate Research Scientist Part Time Non-exempt (Blanco Lab) in New York, New York

New York University department of Psychology is seeking a part-time Associate Research Scientist to work in The Neuroscience of Multilingualism lab (Blanco-Elorrieta lab). A BA/BS or MA/MS in a cognitive science related discipline (psychology, linguistics, neuroscience, etc) is required. The ideal candidate must possess bilingual proficiency in Spanish, experience using Qualtrics for survey design, and solid command of Excel for data analysis. Additionally, the candidate should have strong logistical management abilities, including handling grant funds, managing petty cash, and coordinating administrative aspects in the lab.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $26-30/hr for 20 hours per week and up to 27 hours per week. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

  • Bachelor’s degree in cognitive science related discipline. The candidate should have experience working in a laboratory.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

  • Experience in assisting, creation, and management of surveys and experiments using Qualtrics.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with research team.
