Overview
News Corp is looking for an Associate, HR Generalist. As an H R Generalist, you will be responsible for helping to align business objectives with people solutions, and effectively navigating all of the people-related dynamics in between. You will play a key role in ensuring HR policies and practices throughout the organization fit the needs and objectives of the business and team. You will act as both a business partner as well as a hands-on generalist for the company for all things people-related. You will provide an array of strategic and tactical support for our employees to provide a best-in-class experience. Location: Based in NYC with a hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities:
Talent Life Cycle
Partner closely with recruiting team to support the operations behind open requisitions and track the status of hiring
Facilitate employee onboarding once they have started at the company by conducting a meet and greet and helping to resolve ad hoc queries
Facilitate termination process, including offboarding, exit interviews and thematic analyses of exit interviews over time
Talent Management
Assist in performance management touch points (i.e. goal setting, mid-year, promotion) by monitoring completion rates, resolving ad-hoc system/administrative issues and project managing multi-step processes
Support talent management processes such as succession planning, talent assessments and learning and development initiatives. Activities would include supporting talent discussions, completion of individual development plans, L+D program nominations, and more
Enable talent mobility efforts by determining terms of mobility assignment and executing on all operational elements to drive to completion
Help analyze employee engagement survey results and use data to identify themes and relevant interventions
Conduct research to define various organizational levels and related competencies behaviors
Process Design and Improvement
- Help design or improve existing processes to create efficiencies and maximize impact Examples include entry/exit survey data coalition, Finance Newsletter aggregation and more
Compensation and Benefits
Partner with the compensation team to price and level roles by using both internal and external benchmarking data
Liaise with employees who have inquiries regarding their benefits and connect them to benefits specialists via our ServiceNow case management system
Employee Relations
Manage and support the resolution of employee relations issues in partnership with the Employee Relations Team
Maintain appropriate level of process, program, and policy knowledge in order to assist team members
Employee Engagement
- Develop and work on employee engagement initiatives as identified (i.e. Finance Mentorship Program, HR Leadership roundtables, etc.)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
At least 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience is preferred
Familiarity with Workday and ServiceNow preferred
Experience working for a global company demonstrating adaptability and change management skills
Comfortable with Excel and PPT
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a proven track record of proactively analyzing situations, data, identifying employee needs, troubleshooting, and recommending appropriate solutions through to completion
Ability to work independently
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information
Intellectually curious about the HR field, recent trends, and best practices
High level of professionalism and integrity
Ability to navigate ambiguity and implement creative solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range: 80000 - 100,000
