Position Summary

Oversee student leadership programs with a focus on social impact projects and careers, including but not limited to the Social Sector Leadership Diversity Fellows cohort program for graduate students, the AnBryce Undergraduate Scholars Program, and the Camp Changemaker immersive leadership program. Responsible for program operations, staff, budgets, communications, and the strategic direction and evaluation of program goals, design, facilitation, and student outcomes. Supervise one or more graduate student employees that support programs and fellowships. Oversee data collection, assessment, and reporting for program areas. Contribute to Changemaker Center and Division-wide outcomes design, tracking, and assessment. Manage related budgets within the Changemaker Center. Serve on divisional and University working groups and committees.
Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's Degree in public administration, higher education, adult education, leadership or a relevant social science.Required Experience:5+ years Experience working in a university, educational institution, youth development or training and development organization; substantive experience developing and managing programs for college-age students from diverse backgrounds, including first generation students. Experience developing and facilitating mentoring and coaching programs, skill-building trainings or workshops, experiential learning projects and or peer-to-peer learning communities. Experience managing program budgets and supervising staff.Preferred Experience:Well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards. Knowledge of leadership theory and the leadership development field.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to set goals and design and implement strategies for achieving them. Ability to work and communicate with diverse stakeholders. Ability to solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Strong teamwork abilities. Ability to manage a budget. Ability to communicate policies and procedures to a diverse group. Commitment to advancing education and career access and success for all students and in particular underrepresented students and those who do not conform to traditional leadership models
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00 to USD $115,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.NYU aims to be among the greenest urban campuses in the country and carbon neutral by 2040.
