The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor of OBGYN - IWH in New York, New York
Oct 16, 2024
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center has long been at the forefront of advancing women's reproductive health care. We pioneered the Apgar score for assessing newborn health, were the first in the nation to perform an amniocentesis test, and developed RhoGAM, which has nearly eliminated Rh-incompatibility reactions that once caused hundreds of fetal and neonatal deaths annually.
Situated in the heart of CUIMC's dynamic medical community, over 100 physicians and more than 40 post-graduate residents and fellows collaborate with researchers and clinicians to address women's health care needs. We remain dedicated to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care, training the next generation of Ob/Gyn leaders, supporting cutting-edge research, and translating those innovations into clinical practice.
