Job Title: Assistant Director of NursingJob Description

Under the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for the clinical and operational management of assigned Nursing units. This role ensures that standards of practice for nursing and patient care are maintained. The Assistant Director participates in developing and implementing departmental plans and programs, supervises activities of assigned units, and provides data and/or prepares reports on activities as required. Shift timings include 7:30am-3:30pm or 3:30pm-11:30pm, with some flexibility required.

Hard Skills

  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Six years of nursing experience, with progressive growth in a managerial role

  • Minimum of 2 years in a skilled nursing facility

  • Valid NYS Professional Registered Nurse License

  • CPR Certification

Located in the heart of the community of Washington Heights in Northern Manhattan, the facility is a 705-bed rehabilitation and nursing care facility. It aims to provide quality care through diverse programs and services designed to support health and independence for individuals needing short-stay or long term inpatient care.
