Description We are seeking an Assistant Controller based in New York, New York. This key role will involve working within the non-profit sector of our organization, although exposure to the for-profit arms of the business will also be part of the role. You will be instrumental in supporting the monthly and annual reporting processes, handling intercompany transactions, cost allocations, and maintaining a keen eye on both macro and granular financial perspectives.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• Conduct detailed financial reconciliations and adjustments as necessary

• Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements

• Facilitate the monthly and annual reporting processes, ensuring all data is accurate and timely

• Handle cost allocations, ensuring all expenses are accurately distributed and documented

• Utilize Intacct ERP system for financial management and reporting tasks

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning

• Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment

• Leverage strong Excel skills to organize data and create detailed financial reports

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of non-profit accounting practices and procedures. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role or related field

• Proficient in using Intacct ERP and Intacct software

• Experience in non-profit accounting is required

• Should be able to prepare financial statements accurately and efficiently

• Must have experience in audit-financial

• Experience in handling and managing program budgets is necessary

• Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting is essential
