Bully Pulpit Interactive Art Director in New York, New York

Location: D.C., New York, Chicago, San Francisco (Hybrid)

We are an ambitious, quickly expanding team looking for an Art Director who can help us compete on a global scale. You are a capital “C” Creative storyteller who knows fantastic art sells ideas- and knows how to make that happen. You love to think big and collaborate and are constantly searching for - and sharing - creative inspiration. Bonus points for anyone keeping their own inspo library!

Role Overview: Capable of working both as a part of a team or solo to develop art, bring ideas and campaigns to life, pitch, and sell top-notch integrated campaigns across brand and social impact marketing. You are an excellent art director, and know how to use art and visuals to bring ideas to life in ways that make our clients say, “Oh, that’s what I want!”

On a daily basis, you’ll:

  • Develop on-brand and on brief-creative for pitches and campaigns at all levels, from fi

  • Work collaboratively with copywriters or solo to generate ideas and create concepts and visual designs that are on strategy, on brand and achieve client objectives

  • Develop campaign concepts, visuals, and spec work, under the direction of creative leadership.

  • Present creative concepts and rationales to internal teams.

  • Support creative leadership in the development of innovative concepts including but not limited to graphic design, typography, illustration and film direction.

You bring:

  • 5+ years of creative art and design experience in an advertising agency environment

  • A strong working knowledge of digital and print graphic design, content and campaign development

  • Flexibility and great communication skills. You’re a professional with a great eye and strong attention to detail, and you know how to present and pitch your work to internal stakeholders

  • The ability to deliver creative and respond to feedback in a timely fashion that leads to award-winning work

  • Full fluency with design programs & principles, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding production environment

BPI offers a comprehensive total compensation package for this role of $85,000-$100,000 with an annual discretionary bonus and generous benefits. Estimated starting base salary will be based on level of experience.
