Overview:

In keeping with our commitment to expand the HSS brand, HSS offers an outstanding opportunity for experienced professionals at our outpatient clinic located inWest Palm Beach, Florida.

We offer an excellent opportunity for an Administrative Office Specialist with exceptional customer service skills to work at ourWest Palm Beach, Floridaout-patient facility. In this patient-facing role you will be responsible for triaging phone calls and patient inquiries, greeting and scheduling patients for appointments and procedures, conducting verification of medical insurance and patient billing/collections, authorization of services, filing/chart preparation. In addition, they will promote a professional atmosphere through courteous communication, cooperation and respect for patients, visitors and members of the health care team. Acting as a liaison to the physicians and hospital departments, you will also be responsible for ensuring that best customer service practices are offered to patients and families.

Competencies/skills:

  • Superior written and oral communication skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Maintain sensitivity and awareness of cultural and religious diversity when addressing patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to follow through with tasks to completion

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to effectively and accurately follow directions or instructions

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; offers to help coworkers when needed

  • Ability to adapt to changing / evolving work assignments (this is to ensure cross coverage)

  • Detail-oriented

  • Ability to escalate issues appropriately

  • Consistently displays a positive attitude towards one’s work and work environment

  • Strong computer skills required

  • Knowledge of healthcare and health insurance, required

  • Familiarity with medical terminology, preferred

Qualifications

  • Experience with Epic EMR, preferred

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
