Overview
Arts & Science is seeking a dynamic Administrative Aide II to join the Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies. This individual will provide support for a variety of activities related to admissions and registration, tenure and promotion cases, recruitment, and grant proposals. Will assist with special projects related to creation of new courses and information for events; compile data and background information for reports and proposals; monitor deadlines and assist with data analysis and editing. Arrange meetings, conferences and special events. Monitor daily office activities to ensure provision of general office services; train and assign/review work of casual and/or student employees.
Responsibilities
Required Education:
High School diploma and up to 2 years of specialized training or equivalent; Associates degree; or some College.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Required Experience:
3 years of office experience (with High School diploma). 2 years of office experience (with Associates degree or some College).
Preferred Experience:
1-2 years of office experience (with Bachelor's degree).
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding (40-60+ words per minute). Good proofreading and writing skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office or proficiency with Apple. Knowledge of desktop publishing software. Knowledge of Access.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $36.529. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
