We are offering a long-term part-time contract employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in New York. In this role, you will be part of a team focusing on maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and reconciling accounts. This role is ideal for individuals who have strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and categorize financial transactions, including bank statements and wires

• Perform regular account analysis to ensure accurate revenue categorization

• Assist in the reconciliation of transactions from various systems, ensuring a smooth conversion of old codes to new system codes

• Assist in the recognition of deferred revenue by matching old system codes to new system codes

• Maintain updated monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records

• Regularly monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed

• Utilize accounting software systems efficiently to maintain accurate records

• Use Excel for data entry and other repetitive tasks, ensuring all data is accurately recorded

• Assist in the review of transactions for any discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.

Requirements • Must possess skills in Account Coding and Accounting Software Systems

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Dynamics NAV required

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions is essential

• Must have ability to perform Account Analysis and understand Accounting Entries

• Should have experience with Accounting Functions and Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes is necessary

• Must be able to perform Bank Reconciliations and Daily Reconciliation tasks

• Experience with Cash Reconciliations and understanding of Deferred Revenue is essential

• Data Entry skills required, including Coding Invoices and Ledger Coding

• Must be proficient in Sage Intacct software

• Proficiency in Excel Formulas and Microsoft Excel is necessary
