THE JOB / Account Director, Client Services (Financial Services Client)

CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon's client business and day-to-day management of client programs.

***Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days week in office) in one of our office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Los Angeles, CA or Atlanta, GA."

In this role, the Account Director will spearhead collaboration on a collection of programs and experiences that embody our client's brand while harnessing the uniqueness and spirit of each campaign. Reporting to the Group Account Director you will support our team in collaborating closely with clients, internal groups (Strategy, Creative, Experiences), and external agencies agency partners to develop programs across various campaigns ranging from MLB to NFL and Motorsports. In this role, the AD will be a leader who recognizes that success is a team sport. THE WORK YOU'LL DO

  • Lead and support day-to-day team functions to help the team succeed
  • Collaborate closely with financial service clients, internal groups at Octagon and agency partners
  • Prepare vital documents supporting strategic planning and ideation, competitive reviews, POVs, recommendations, etc.
  • Coordinate projects with agency partners and internal Octagon resources
  • On select campaigns, serve as project lead and integrator overseeing cross-functional teams
  • Lead internal, external, and client meetings, including managing and distributing meeting agenda and notes
  • Create timelines, budgets, program plans, and recaps
  • Develop a working knowledge and understanding of financial service client's business initiatives and marketing trends, serving as a subject matter expert as you build your knowledge base
  • Additional projects as assigned

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 7+ years of work with an agency, brand, or property on the development of integrated brand campaigns
  • Passion and expertise in sports, cause, entertainment and are eager to stay up to date with developments in each industry
  • Prioritize multiple programs simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to forecast and mitigate issues/challenges effectively
  • Team builder and collaborator
  • History of building positive relationships, both internally and externally - finding opportunities to make valuable contributions with every interaction
  • Ability to lead client meetings and partner conversations, keeping all parties on task, on time and on budget
  • Strong leadership presence, with the ability to communicate concisely, persuasively, and effectively through both written and verbal mediums
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Publisher)
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Moderate (20-45%)

The base range for this position is $70,000 - 90,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications
