Job Description

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) enriches the environment and protects public health for all New Yorkers by providing 1.1 billion gallons of high-quality drinking water, managing wastewater and stormwater, and reducing air, noise, and hazardous materials pollution. DEP is the largest combined municipal water and wastewater utility in the country, with nearly 6,000 employees. DEP's water supply system is comprised of 19 reservoirs and 3 controlled lakes throughout the system’s 2,000 square mile watershed that extends 125 miles north and west of the City.

The selected intern, will support the Enterprise Application Support (EAS) unit in developing, maintaining, and editing reports generated from data contained in Infor Public Sector (IPS), software supported and maintained by EAS. Reports are created in MS SQL Server Reporting Services. The Intern will assist EAS in administrating reports requested internally by DEP to retrieve data from IPS, which may include meeting with end users to define reporting requirements. retrieve and analyze data from IPS from MS SQL Server Management Studio in support of formal reports and ad hoc metric retrieval to support the agency mission.

Qualifications

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in an accredited college, university or law school.
