Boll & Branch Shop Manager in New York City, New York

Boll & Branch is looking for a Part-Time Shop Manager to join our team, working out of the Bloomingdale's 59th Street location in NYC.

The Part-Time Shop Manager is the direct representative of the Boll & Branch brand and owner of the business within our dedicated shop at Bloomingdale's. The Shop Manager is responsible for maximizing retail sales and profits by maintaining a high standard of customer service, as well as establishing a strong repeat business. The Shop Manager leads by example and maintains a strong presence on the sales floor. They will strive to achieve sales plans, while also ensuring the highest visual presentation and brand standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate sales and work to achieve sales goals by servicing customers both one-on-one and in conjunction with commissioned Bloomingdale's sellers on the floor.

  • Act as an ambassador for the brand/shop by sharing the brand story and related components; Interact with customers in a way that drives traffic and engagement.

  • Generate excitement for the brand amongst the Bloomingdale's team by developing relationships with the sellers and educating them on the products (in the home department and beyond). Interface with related groups like registry, personal shopping, stylist, etc.

  • Gather ground intel on the brand/business that we can't see in the data (e.g. what are customers asking for that we don't have, what could we sell more of if we had deeper stock, etc.).

  • Lead special moments and events like seasonal promotions and GWPs.

  • Reset the floor presentation to Boll & Branch and Bloomingdale's standards.

  • Change beds to reflect newness and/or the most recent directive.

  • Replenish product from the back stock.

  • Ensure correct signage is maintained.

  • Report on all of the above back to Boll & Branch and Bloomingdale's.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years in a retail sales or brand ambassador role.

  • Understanding of specialty retail, customer service, visual merchandising, and store operations.

  • Knowledge of basic retail functions and techniques.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • A positive and outgoing personality with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, reach overhead, lift up to 50 lbs., and be able to climb a ladder/step stool

We offer a competitive wage and although we are not commission based, there is an opportunity to earn a monthly bonus on shop performance.
