Job Description
General Description
The technician would conduct laboratory research with increasing degrees of complexity and independence to contribute to research projects aiming to understand lipid metabolism, obesity, and liver diseases.
Other Duties
Duties include, but not limited to mammalian cell culture, bacteria culture, protein extraction and analysis, lipid extraction and analysis, enzymatic reactions, laboratory animal work, reagent preparation, supply ordering.
Qualifications
An Associate’s Degree in a related field of study from an accredited institution and three (3) years experienceperforming technical work suitable to the technical needs of the project; ORAn Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study from an accredited institution and one (1) year experience performingtechnical work suitable to the technical needs of the project; OREquivalent education and experience, as evidenced in technical work assignments; however all candidates must have ahigh school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with c ell culture, lipidology, protein analysis, ordering, and laboratory animal work helpful.

The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) was established as a not-for-profit educational corporation chartered by the State of New York in 1963.
