The People Experience team plays a crucial role in delivering impactful solutions and advice on complex employee process matters. As part of the broader People Operations team, you will contribute to providing strategic guidance to the P&C organization, enabling efficiency and scale. Additionally, you will contribute to projects and programs designed to enhance our culture and wider organization. This role is a fixed-term contract of 6 months.

The Role

We are seeking a P&C Partner (Operations) in our New York office to provide vital support to Google Deepminders as part of our People Experience team. This role focuses on triaging employee queries within our query management tool (POps Connect) and resolving queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Problem solving: Anticipate problems and identify solutions, using your judgement and discretion to determine and plan the next steps of your work.

  • Query resolution: Review incoming employee queries within the POps Connect tool allocate a tier categorisation, allocate or resolve.

  • Process actions: Action employee lifecycle process steps e.g. flexible working terms changes, location flexibility requests and drafting of garden leave letters for exits.

  • Escalation: Identify and escalate queries outside of scope to the appropriate team member or team.

  • Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with employees, keeping them informed of the status of their queries.

  • Project support: Leaning into projects focusing on operational and process improvement across People Experience processes.

  • Data and analysis: Collate and analyse monthly stats on focus areas for the team using internal tool data functionality.

In order to set you up for success as a P&C Partner at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:

  • You have experience of operating within a HR team advising on process application and improvement, preferably within a small but fast growing business, where you had a role supporting efficiency.

  • You have an interest and understanding of operationalising processes.

  • You enjoy a blend of reactive problem solving and proactive improvement focused work.

  • You are able to build solid relationships with people quickly; you put them at ease and create understanding. You enjoy spending time with people and have a high sense of empathy.

  • Being extremely organised, you are used to working at pace and balancing many different tasks. You are proactive and see what needs to be done.

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy changeable environments where you can implement creative and innovative ideas.

  • You enjoy variety and feel that no task is too big or too small.

  • You like operating independently but also love being part of a highly encouraging and collaborative team.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $105,000.00 - $161,000.00 + bonus + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
