Google Software Engineer, Performance and Thermal, Pixel in New Taipei City, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience with software development in C or C++ programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.

  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

  • 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.

  • 2 years of experience with performance, systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.

  • Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

  • Develop and maintain the thermal software components of Pixel phone and tablet.

  • Collaborate with various teams to design and implement thermal management solutions.

  • Conduct thermal performance testing and analyze results to optimize system performance.

  • Develop and maintain tools and scripts to automate thermal testing and analysis.

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes.
