Client Onboarding Specialist
The Client Onboarding Specialist position will be part of the ICS Client Onboarding - Centre of Excellence team who are responsible for ensuring that new SBS/GCP/GMNS applications and relevant supporting documentation meet internal and external policy and procedure requirements.
This will include, but is not limited to, adhering to AML KYC guidelines to ensure American Express is correctly contracting with the applying entity. This position will be responsible for providing assurance that policy and procedural requirements relating to key obligations have been met or liaising with and providing feedback to internal stakeholders to assist them in meeting requirements.
Responsibilities:
Line of Business ownership on deliverable outcomes including End to End times, SLAs and Quality Controls
Responsible for managing and reviewing case escalations and exceptions
Managing relationships between key stakeholders (BDEs/BDMs), especially as it relates to case concerns and complex reviews
Work with Training Analysts to identify key training opportunities and upskilling needs
Implement and monitor policy change rollouts in dedicated Line of Business
Facilitate alignment sessions between key internal stakeholders
Partner with Team Leads in Line of Business and ensure to continually uplift Client Onboarding Analyst (‘COA’) AML knowledge through timely feedback, coaching and upskilling
Liaise with internal teams to support new account set-ups and initial account trading, including New Accounts, Sales, Compliance, Risk and Legal
Manage EDD processes in dedicated Line of Business
Maintain suitable management reporting on status of wider team performance and ongoing LOB performance
Ensure Risk, Compliance and Audit policies are adhered too across the onboarding process
Ownership and accountability of audit results, outcomes and remediations
Required Skills/Experience:
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy (essential)
Ability to work autonomously to drive results and outcomes
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent analytical skills and experience in using Excel preferable
Experience in reviewing Trust Deeds (desirable)
Industry experience with the Anti-Money Laundering Regulations & Know Your Customer requirements
Confidence in legal decision making
Understanding of One.Force would be favorable
Qualifications:
- Exposure to AML/CTF regulation is strongly recommended
