Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Triage Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 months of experience as an RN or LPN in Short Term Rehab, and must hold a valid NYS LPN or RN license. This role involves planning, directing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating the activities of all nursing personnel within the assigned area.
Responsibilities
Endorse, interpret, and enforce the objectives and procedures of the facility and the Nursing Department.
Plan, direct, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate the activities of all nursing personnel within the assigned area.
Conduct daily rounds to ensure the highest standards of care.
Host daily conferences with unit staff to review specific patient care and communicate and interpret recent policy and procedure changes.
Extend courtesy to all unit visitors and assist them in contributing to the emotional needs of all patients.
Training will be provided for Sigmacare knowledge as it is not required.
Essential Skills
3 - 6 months of experience in a Short Term Rehab facility.
Valid NYS LPN or RN license.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3 months experience supervising support staff.
3 months experience working with the elderly population.
Commitment to working desired shifts and every other weekend.
Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position in New Rochelle, New York. We offer full-time, part-time, and per diem openings with morning, evening, and night shifts available, including alternating weekends. The working hours are as follows: 1st Shift: 7am - 3pm, 2nd Shift: 3pm - 11pm, and 3rd Shift: 11pm - 7am. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00
