Horticulturist-Fine Gardening Crew Member: New Paltz based Landscape design and fine gardening company is seeking horticulture professionals for our garden care teams, The ideal candidate will have Full-Time Availability (Monday Through Friday), 1-2years of experience working for a landscape or gardening company, and a background in horticulture or gardening. the ability to work well with others and follow Directions, is necessary for success in this position, along with punctuality, reliability and great communication skills.
Our horticultural professionals are responsible for caring and tending to all of our client's gardening needs. Garden care tasks include but are not limited to weeding, pruning, planting, deadheading, watering, edging, mulching, and the overall health and aesthetics of our clients gardens. Must be available full time Monday - Friday from Mid March - December.
Qualifications and Skills- Absolutely, must have a passion and interest in Fine Gardening/Landscapes. Experience preferred. Must be capable of meticulous, detail oriented work. Highly motivated with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn. Must be prompt and have own, reliable transportation to our office. Transportation provided to our worksites. Valid Driver's License required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work outdoors in strenuous conditions; Heat and Cold. Must be physically fit and in excellent health.
Benefits: Salary ranges from $16/hr. to $19/hr. based on experience. Paid on a weekly basis, paid lunch, shuttle to and from job sites, direct deposit, eligible for 401K after 1 year of employment with company match.
