Robert Half Staff Accountant in New Orleans, Louisiana

Description

Robert Half is partnering with an incredible company in New Orleans that is searching for a Staff Accountant to join their team due to company growth. This is a wonderful opportunity for an accounting professional with 2-3 years of experience to join a great team. This is a full-time role that offers strong benefits, flexibility, and room to grow.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Review and verify invoices and check requests.

  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts.

  • Support the preparation of budget reports and financial forecasts.

  • Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

  • Prepare and post journal entries.

  • Assist in the closing of the general ledger, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.

  • Perform detailed account reconciliations and analysis.

  • Participate in special projects and assignments as needed.

  • Assist in process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

  • 2-3+ years of accounting experience preferred

  • CPA or CPA eligible desired
