Robert Half is working with an established public accounting firm to fill Staff to Manager level roles in their business consulting and tax groups.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, scrutinize, and dissect financial statements that consist of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring their accuracy and timely delivery.

• Carry out and oversee regular account reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies to uphold data integrity.

• Work in unison with the management team to create budgets and financial projections, monitoring their performance and providing variance analyses.

• Uphold adherence to internal controls, tax regulations, and financial policies, assisting with both internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Manage the general ledger, which includes making journal entries and adjustments, ensuring transactions are correctly classified and documented.

• Pinpoint and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, using accounting software and tools to streamline reporting and workflows.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to entry level accountants and support staff, delegating tasks effectively and ensuring the completion of departmental objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant

• CPA license is ideal

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is required

• Experience with balance sheet reconciliation is a must

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations is necessary

• Demonstrated ability in handling general ledger tasks

• Proficiency in creating and managing journal entries

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are essential

• Experience in handling month-end close procedures is required

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software is necessary

• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem software is a plus
