Robert Half has an opening for a short-term contract position as a Patient Access Representative with our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will be a part of our team, working in a hospital and social assistance environment. As a Patient Access Representative, your main duties will include managing patient interactions and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member

• Efficiently check-in clients upon their arrival to the facility

• Collaborate closely with the practice manager to ensure smooth operations

• Schedule patient appointments in a timely and accurate manner

• Handle customer complaints, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives to ensure resolution

• Maintain detailed and accurate customer records in our systems

• Monitor patient accounts and take necessary action when needed

• Process patient credit applications with precision and efficiency

Requirements

• Proven experience in the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry

• Demonstrated skills in customer service and handling complaints

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

• Proficient in using medical software and computer systems

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• Strong organizational and administrative skills

• Knowledge of medical terminologies and procedures

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent education level required

• Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, or holidays if required

• Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support could be a plus
