Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities Serve as the Marine Corps Family Team Building (MCFTB) Director within Marine and Family Programs, Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) with staff cognizance over MCFTB functions, including: Readiness and Deployment Support Training; Family Readiness Program Training; Lifestyle Insights, Networking, Knowledge, and Skills, (L.I.N.K.S.) training; LifeSkills training and education; Chaplains Religious Enrichment Development Operation (CREDO); and Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP). Oversee administration, management, coordination, development, and execution of all MCFTB services. Reports to the MCCS Director or designated representative. Serve as primary point of contact and advisor to higher-level management on the operation, evaluation and improvement of functional effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency of MCFTB activities. Organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements. Serve as the Accounting Officer (AO) and is responsible for all purchasing requirements for MCFTB. Maintain accurate and complete records documenting each program presented to include, but not limited to length of presentation, number of and demographics of participants, and participant evaluations. Serve as the liaison between commanders, Deployment Readiness Coordinators (DRC), Uniformed Readiness Coordinators (URC), and other Marine and Family Programs/ MCCS divisions for all MCFTB functions to ensure training provided by MCFTB is in compliance with the Unit, Personal and Family Readiness Program (UPFRP) and MCFTB policy. As tasked, coordinate family readiness support activities, monitor deployment cycles and possible military contingency plans, and coordinate training to support deployment preparations. Work in conjunction with DRC/URC to mitigate challenges and issues with Marines and families in a proactive manner. Serve as a subject matter expert in all aspects related to training under the MCFTBs portfolio of training and educational opportunities. Conduct quality assurance checks on all trainers to ensure trainers are effective, professional, and meet the established Marine Corps standards of training. May coordinate and/or conduct training within MCFTB. Actively promote MCFTB through marketing, community outreach, and collaboration with other constituents of the command to ensure MCFTB continues to meet the needs of Marines, Sailors, Families, and command teams. Provide feedback to Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), MCFTB for needs assessments and to establish goals for the program in concurrence with the specific needs of MARFORRES. Manages the Yellow Ribbon Program for Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) by planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing the MARFORRES Yellow Ribbon Program (YRP) in accordance with MARFORRES policy and guidelines. Coordinates with Major Subordinate Commands and unit leadership and Deployment Readiness Coordinators to schedule events relating to the Pre-Mobilization, Mobilization, and Post-Deployment Reintegration, placing special emphasis to the Marines and Family Members needs. Must be able to travel in order to support MCTFB functions. Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. BACHELOR¿S DEGREE from an accredited college or university in a related field appropriate to the work of position AND FOUR YEARS of experience in the occupation, or a related field or work area, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skills equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. The following is required: Professional knowledge to evaluate military life conditions impacting personal and family readiness of Marines and their families and support systems existing in public and private sectors. Excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written). Knowledge of military structure and protocol; executive management and leadership skills at a level to effectively plan, coordinate and direct MCFTB services and operations; a thorough knowledge of business practices, economic principles and ability to analyze trends and make improvements; knowledge of military life, family dynamics, separation, effects of deployments, and ability to assess needs, measure effectiveness and make improvements; skills to deal effectively with social, family and individual problem situations; ability to deal effectively with superiors, subordinates, vendors, and the public. Must be able to give briefs in various settings to senior leadership and a variety of audiences. Skill to supervise employees in the accomplishment of work.
