We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves sample preparation, supporting chemists, and conducting various tests including proximate testing, protein testing, fat testing, moisture testing, extraction, and centrifuging. Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for testing.

• Support chemists in their daily tasks.

• Conduct proximate testing, protein testing, fat testing, moisture testing, extraction, and centrifuging.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and critical thinking processes.

• Ensure accuracy and precision in all laboratory activities.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a production environment.

• Strong decision-making skills.

• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

• Experience in laboratory and chemistry settings.

• Proficiency in sample preparation techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Science OR 1+ years of experience in a lab.

• Proven ability to follow critical thinking processes and SOPs.

Work Environment

The position is based in a food chemistry lab that tests for nutritional values, contamination, and quality of goods both imported and exported. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with potential for flexibility based on business needs after a 3-week intensive training period. This role allows for hands-on experience with new instrumentation and methods, providing a deep understanding of lab operations.
