About the role At Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans, the Residential Engineer diagnoses and provides service and repairs to residentialequipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire and safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating. Additionally, theyrespond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximumResidentialsatisfaction while complying with all Four Seasonsguidelines andpolicies.
What you will do
Diagnose andperformall repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillersDOAS unitsand associated equipmentthroughout the entire building.
Perform building maintenance duties including, but not limited to, painting, wallpapering, window installation and repair, floortreatment and repair,door hanging and repairing, and exterior wall surfaces.
Perform various carpentry duties as assigned including, but not limited to, repairing walls, doors andtrim,furniturerepairs, lockers, gate locks and fences.
Replace burned out and defective fluorescent tubes and light bulbs, ballasts, broken light switches, duplex receptacles, plates, and other plug receptacles.
Repair bathroom plumbing including leaking faucets anddamaged vanity sinks, cloggedtoilets, shower and sink drains.
Maintain heating and refrigeration units, replace filters, clean vents and repaircoolers.
Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain anorganized department.
Complete maintenance and separation of refuse and trash chute and corresponding areas.
Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment as well as update appropriate logs.
Respond toresidentscalls regarding maintenance ofunits and equipment inunitsorcommonareasin a timely manner.
Respond to all emergency conditions suchas fires, power failures, etc.
Comply with Four Seasons Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth inEmPact
What you bring
Fluent in English, reading and writing.
High school diplomaor equivalent experience.
Experience required by position is from 1 to 2 years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization.
Requires a working technical knowledge ofgeneral building maintenance.
Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job or through a seriesof professional certifications.
Requires knowledge of the ability to operatecomputer equipment.
