Description

We have an opening for a File Clerk with our client in the non-profit industry based in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role primarily involves supporting clerical tasks such as carrying, loading, and transporting files across the agency. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist other clerks in carrying and transporting files within the agency

• Load files onto carts for easy movement and organization

• Maintain an organized and efficient file management system

• Ensure accurate and up-to-date filing of documents

• Support the Client Services Department with administrative tasks

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for various administrative tasks, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

• Handle correspondence and communication within the agency

• Adhere to Fair Housing and Low-Income Tax Credit Housing (LITCH) guidelines

• Resolve customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

Requirements

• Prior experience in an administrative role, preferably within a non-profit organization

• Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

• Ability to handle correspondence efficiently and professionally

• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and guidelines

• Familiarity with Low Income Tax Credit Housing (LITCH) procedures and requirements

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to maintain and organize a complex filing system

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification
