Robert Half has an opening for a Cash Application Specialist with our client in the commercial real estate industry, based in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you'll play a critical part in our accounting team, focusing on accounts receivable, data entry, customer issues resolution, and overall financial data management.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Keep customer credit records up-to-date and precise

• Resolve customer accounts receivable issues

• Prepare aging reports and maintain cash receipts journal

• Conduct billing and collection calls

• Update and reconcile sub-ledger to General Ledger

• Perform various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and payroll liaison activities

• Post and balance financial data in different ledgers

• Input timesheet data and verify documents and codes

• Process payments and assist in compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports

• Communicate effectively with shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department, and other stakeholders

• Contact existing clients to resolve payment issues and assist in setting up payment plans

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Demonstrable experience in Data Processing

• Thorough understanding of Accounting Functions

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Experience in handling Cash Activity

• Ability to manage Cash Balance

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
