Crescent City Schools 2024-2025 Middle School Social Studies Teacher in New Orleans, Louisiana
Our Middle School Teachers impact students’ lives by:
Delivering instruction in the classroom and raising student achievement
Long-term unit planning and daily lesson planning
Communicating with parents/guardians about student progress
Quickly implementing feedback and goal-setting into lesson delivery
Collaborating with teammates in grade level and subject level teams
Participating in the life of the school, including student activities and events
Maintaining a classroom culture conducive to student achievement
Using data to track student achievement, and to constantly improve practice
Participating in daily, weekly, and quarterly meetings about student achievement
Embodying, advocating, and operationalizing the mission, vision, and direction of the school
Taking on other tasks, as needed

It may include bumps for taking on leadership responsibilities, summer work, doing work outside of your regular duties, or longevity with CCS.

Required: Have a BA or BS Degree
Preferred: Possess Louisiana Teacher Certification (or equivalent certification in another state)
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
