Primary Care Physician Opening in New Milford, Connecticut (85 miles from New York City)

Primary Care at New Milford Hospital, a part of Nuvance Health, is seeking an 0.6 FTE Primary Care Physician at New Milford Hospital in New Milford, CT (85 miles from NYC and 14 miles north of Danbury). It is a highly regarded well-established practice with limited on call obligations. You will work with 6 Providers (Physicians and Nurse Practitioner colleagues). We have a busy, established practice in a family-friendly location.

This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Competitive total compensation package including base salary, incentive pay, paid time off, CME time off and allowance, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k match and contribution. Hiring bonus and relocation stipend may also be available.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate primary care physician who will provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives. This as a full-time, office-based position providing outpatient services only, utilizing a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record fully integrated across all our hospitals and sites.

NHMP is committed to ensuring joy in medical practice and have implemented a number of programs to support combatting “burnout” and ensuring a culture of support for all our employees:

· Virtual scribes – to reduce charting time and enable clinicians to work top of license with more face-to-face time with their patients

· Daily Management Systems to ensure collaboration and problem solving occurs at the practice level – the clinicians and support staff know how best to solve for complex challenges

*Job Requirements:*

  • MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration

  • Have successfully completed a Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Peds Residency.

  • Experience as a Primary Care Physician preferred but new grads are welcome to apply

  • Willing to work 24 hours per week

  • Must be Board Certified or be Board Eligible

  • Off-hour coverage – Shared among multiple providers, phone-calls only with nurse triage

Salary range: $165,000-$171,000 dependent upon experience
