Quality Machined Products CNC Machine Operator in NEW KENSINGTON, Pennsylvania
Company Overview: Join our team at QMP. We are family owned machine shop that specializes in precision CNC turning and the manufacture of screw machine parts. We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to contribute to our dynamic team. We are looking to hire 2 new employees. We have 2 open shifts, 1st and 2nd.
Job Overview: As a CNC Operator at QMP, you will play a crucial role in the production process by operating and maintaining CNC machines and equipment. Your attention to detail and precision will ensure the fabrication of high-quality components.
Responsibilities: - Operate CNC machines and related equipment in a manufacturing facility. - Independently manage multiple machines during assigned shifts. - Take ownership of machine performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous production. - Document machine activities using designated software on a daily basis. - Understand and utilize job travelers to track workflow efficiently. - Maintain tools, make tool offsets, and change inserts as needed for optimal performance. - Ensure continuity between shifts by communicating actions and needs effectively. - Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. - Proficiently use measuring instruments and read blueprints for accurate part production. - Address machine alarms promptly and perform basic maintenance tasks as required. - Keep work area clean and organized, including cleaning machined parts. - Complete any other duties as assigned by management.
Experience: - Minimum of 1 year of experience in machining, preferably CNC turning. - Proficiency in machine setups for production runs and blueprint reading. - Familiarity with quality inspection processes.
