This leadership role drives the development of omnichannel sales growth strategies at Mondelēz, leveraging consumer, shopper, and customer insights to optimize performance across all channels. You will collaborate with key stakeholders —including Sales leadership, Category Planning & Insights, Marketing, Sales, Revenue Growth Management, Finance, and Supply Chain — to drive short and long-term growth ambitions. A key responsibility is leading the change management for a new Pay for Performance trade program, ensuring revenue, KPIs, and cost targets are met.

As an energetic leader, you will guide a team of Sales Leaders, including Vice Presidents and Directors, to exceed performance targets by aligning with sales and core strategies to maximize revenue, share growth, volume, and profitability. Through coaching and mentorship, you will build capability within the senior sales team and lead managers in optimizing sales operations across key areas:

  • Sales Planning Ownership : Maximize Category Plans with customer plans and trade budgets, lead US sales forums to ensure clarity and strongest collective plans

  • Channel Strategy : Drive an integrated omnichannel strategy to support revenue, market share, and MDLZ’s US Vision 2030

  • Sales Intelligence & Analytics : Optimize sales operations and identify growth opportunities through performance management

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop multi-year strategies to accelerate volume, revenue, and share growth, delivering on key milestones within a 2-5 year planning horizon

  • Build strong internal relationships to ensure long-term success

  • Lead the optimization and evolution of critical team processes

  • Represent Sales and voice of our customers in cross-functional teams, including Sales Strategy and Planning, Venture Teams, and Category Marketing

  • Equip teams with tools, insights, and data to create and strengthen Joint Value Creation (JVC) and Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key customers

  • Partner with sales leaders to strengthen customer relationships and manage annual meetings, driving actionable insights

  • Align long-term strategy with execution plans, collaborating with Sales Planning, Customer Insights, Trade/RGM, and Finance to ensure successful in-year execution

  • Advocate Perfect Store execution (distribution, promotion, shelving) for optimalomnichannelperformance

  • Share best practices, champion wins, and sales tool enhancements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ sales experience in CPG, retail, and/or consumer goods

  • Extensive leadership and people management experience in the CPG sector (sales, key account management, sales planning, insights, field sales) with the ability to take a team on a journey from vision to execution

  • Deep understanding of channels, types of trade, and commercial levers

  • Strongcommunication, influence, and negotiation skills

  • Familiarity with sales models (Warehouse or Direct Store Delivery) and their implications

  • Proven leadership in a matrixed environment with experience in complex, ambiguous decision-making and driving change

  • Continuous improvement mindset

For salaried roles based: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $166,700 - $291,725; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. (for Band I+ also include… and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program).
