Our Boiler Installation Lead Technician is responsible for the overall installation of Hydronic heating equipment as well as forced hot air systems, heat pumps, and water heaters. As well as ensuring the completion of projects is within the budgeted labor hours as outlined by the installation manager. If projects begin to fall outside the labor budget, the installation lead tech is to inform the installation manager along with a plan to correct going forward. Responsibilities: Complete all general Heating in-home, installs.

Lead install team to work towards production efficiency and quality standards. Install replacements of warm air furnaces, boilers, water heaters, related piping, and electrical. Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues that may arise that would keep the equipment from functioning as per the manufacturers specifications. Communicate to the customer on the proper operation and owners maintenance of the installed equipment. Answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions to the homeowner.

Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-stocked truck. Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats. Be accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and options sheets.

Keep the installation manager apprised of job progress and report immediately any issues that arise that may prevent the project from being completed on time and within budget. Work and drive company vehicles safely and can recognize and avoid dangerous situations.

Competencies for Success:

Licensed with knowledge of local HVAC codes and the ability to make on-the-job applications. Develop a proven track record in heating systems including the ability to draw simple diagrams and read blueprints. Ability to diagnose complex heating systems including high-efficiency equipment and Radiant heating. Clean, safe driving record. Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities. Strong verbal and written communication. High integrity with advanced social skills and ability to make solid connections. Physically able to work on heating or HVAC units. Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on the time of year. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
