Job purpose

  The Learning and Development Manager contributes to the development and facilitation of multiple learning projects simultaneously for all departments including Clinical, Behavioral Health, Dental and other administrative and programmatic departments and p rovides administrative support related to content development and improvement.

Duties and responsibilities

The Learning and Development Manager reports to Director of Talent Development and Learning Center. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the development and facilitation of learning programs that include multiple modalities: self-paced, e-learning, virtual and in-person workshops, and on-the-job learning activities and facilitate internal staff development sessions

  • Oversee the collection and compilation of program evaluation measures that are used to assess curriculum effectiveness

  • Provide assistance with a medical assistant scholarship program by scheduling and participating in interviews and assisting with logistics related to welcoming and onboarding new students

  • Act as a liaison with the community for needs assessments and course development such as English as a Second Language and GED programs.

  • Distributing pre-work and follow-up materials for in-person development programs

  • Provide proactive administrative support for the Fair Haven Community Health Care talent development function, including

  • Preparing and distributing program materials and managing logistics related to learning programs.

  • Scheduling participants and rooms, and coordinating with Facilities and IT on any space or technical requirements    

  • Manage the distribution and processing of online assessments used in development programs

  • Collect and compile course evaluations and participant feedback for use in program improvement processes

  • Assist with purchasing process and tracking payments in process

    Qualifications

    Baccalaureate degree in related field required, Master’s degree preferred. Experience developing and delivering learning development initiatives and proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is required.
