Position Location: New Hartford Office
Reports To: Sr. Facilities Manager, with guidance from the Lead Facility Associate
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm EST
Position Description- What you'll be doing and owning:
The Facilities Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment across all areas of the facility to support employee well-being and efficient operations. This includes daily cleaning of kitchenettes, bathrooms, and floors, routine disinfecting of high-touch areas, and ensuring conference rooms are ready for use each day. The role also involves managing inventory of cleaning supplies and organizing a cleaning schedule to minimize disruptions in the workplace. Additionally, the Facilities Associate will oversee the upkeep of lobby and entryway glass to enhance the facility's appearance.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous Facilities or Custodial Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in facilities management, custodial services, or a related field with a focus on maintaining clean and organized environments.
- Knowledge of Cleaning Procedures and Products: Familiarity with commercial cleaning products, disinfectants, and tools for various surfaces (kitchenettes, bathrooms, floors, glass surfaces) to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Attention to Detail: Proven ability to ensure areas are thoroughly cleaned and organized, including high-touch areas, conference rooms, and entryways.
- Inventory Management Skills: Experience in tracking and managing cleaning supply inventories, including ordering supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills to develop and adhere to a cleaning schedule that minimizes disruptions and ensures all areas are ready for daily use.
- Health and Safety Knowledge: Awareness of cleaning and safety protocols to support employee well-being, including safe handling of chemicals and compliance with hygiene standards.
- Customer Service Mindset: Ability to communicate professionally and respond to requests promptly to maintain a pleasant workplace environment.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and Punctuality: Demonstrates consistent attendance and timeliness, understanding the importance of a clean and organized facility for daily operations.
- Initiative and Proactiveness: Actively identifies areas that need attention without being prompted and takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and order throughout the facility.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adjust tasks and schedules based on the needs of the team and respond to urgent requests to support the smooth functioning of the workplace.
- Positive Attitude and Collaboration: Works well with other team members and departments, maintaining a cooperative and helpful attitude to foster a supportive workplace culture.
- Clear Communication Skills: Communicates any maintenance needs, supply shortages, or potential safety concerns to the appropriate team members promptly to address issues efficiently.

Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $18.00-18.50/ hr USD (US) commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education, and prior accomplishments.
