We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt.

The DVT DevOps team oversees a diverse range of technologies supporting the DVT division, including hardware, version management, CI/CD, and automation, among others.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the high availability of production systems and large integrated environments.

  • Developing and maintaining in-house utilities to automate and streamline development and release activities.

  • Leading technically complex projects, providing coaching and motivation to team members.

  • Managing continuous integration frameworks, enterprise monitoring, and alert notification systems.

  • Evaluating, integrating, and deploying state-of-the-art third-party tools for development, testing, and release teams.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Strong understanding of DevOps concepts (CI, CD, CM, SCM).

  • Hands-on experience with GitLab administration is advantageous.

  • Experience with grid management software (e.g., AGE, LSF, slurm) is beneficial.

  • Linux administration skills and debugging experience are advantageous.

  • Knowledge of common high availability architectures is beneficial.

  • Experience with a variety of open-source technologies (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Docker).

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities, including hardware and software defect investigation and resolution.

  • Excellent analytical skills and innovative problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to multitask, switch contexts quickly, and handle interruptions in a service-oriented manner.
