Job Overview:
RWJBH is seeking a highly dedicated Transplant Quality Coordinator for our Organ Transplant Center at our New Brunswick campus.
This position is responsible for helping develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate continuous quality improvement and performance improvement activities and works collaboratively with program and hospital leadership to ensure regulatory compliance for the RWJUH transplant and VAD programs
Qualifications:
Required:
BSN
Should obtain or maintain CPHQ certification or equivalent
Preffered:
Transplant/VAD and/or Quality experience preferred
Exceptional analytical skills required
Demonstrated highly effective written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of advanced functionality in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word required
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple members of the health care and administrative leadership team
Certifications and Licenses Required:
BLS and ACLS Certification
Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Essential Functions:
Monitors clinical and process metrics including organizing, collecting, validating, compiling, analyzing, and reporting of results
Continually assess and improve performance indicators by participating in performance improvement projects
Facilitates and monitors patient safety activities
Contributes to meeting departmental and organ program targets for quality and safety, on departmental dashboard
Coordinates quality committee meetings
Prepares internal or external clinical data requests
Reports variances to appropriate management and staff
Participates in the development, implementation, evaluation and revision of order sets, policies, and other documentation to
ensure practice is consistent with regulatory requirements
Collaborates with transplant & VAD & hospital leadership and staff to ensure ongoing compliance with the requirements,
regulations and laws of local, state and federal regulatory agencies for transplant and VAD, including UNOS, TJC, and CMS
Facilitates collection of all clinical documents and data necessary in preparation for onsite review or regulatory response
submission to any transplant regulatory agency
Participates as a liaison during certification/review site visits
Provides quality/compliance education and facilitates continuous readiness to portend program accountability and responsibility
Demonstrates ability to work with all disciplines to achieve a common goal
Stays abreast of current transplant & VAD regulations
