Summary

Job Overview:

RWJBH is seeking a Per Diem Clinical Care Coordinator, Registered Nurse for our Radiation Oncology Department at the New Brunswick campus.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • BSN

  • BLS

  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

  • OCN or be obtained within 2 years of hire date

  • ACLS and PALS or be obtained within 1 year of hire date

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift

  • Monday Friday

  • Work a minimum of three weekday shifts per 4-week schedule

Essential Functions:

  • The radiation oncology nurse coordinator is a professional Registered Nurse who assumes clinical responsibility for a specific caseload of patients.

  • Working under the direction of a physician, the radiation oncology nurse specialist: accesses the patients past history and current condition.

  • Establishes and monitors the family goals and outcomes,

  • Coordinates, monitors and evaluates patient care in the outpatient setting,

  • Accesses and implements patient/family education and home care needs.

  • Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to access each patient s age specific needs and age specific treatment and care for the pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric population.
