Minimum Education and Experience | A Ph.D. degree in biology, or a health-related discipline (preferably with a strong microbiology or immunology component). Laboratory experience related to research area and knowledge of molecular biology techniques is essential. |

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | Laboratory experience in a research position, including molecular biology experience. General computer skills, and experience with Oxford Nanopore instrumentation are essential. Willingness to do a variety of tasks from menial to highly specialized. |
Equipment Utilized | Candidate will need to sequence using the ONT MinION and be familiar with table top ultracentrifuges. |
Physical Demands and Work Environment | Manual dexterity, experience and care in analytical procedures, a strong sense of methodology and precision, ability to perform detailed work and monitor multiple concurrent events or tasks. Knowledge of modern laboratory techniques in molecular biology. |
