Job Title: Environmental Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Manager with extensive experience in NJDEP regulations, site remediation, and possessing an LSRP license. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple environmental projects, overseeing quality deliverables, and ensuring compliance with NJDEP standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and other related environmental due diligence work products.

• Assist in developing Quality Assurance Project Plans and Sample Scopes of Work.

• Complete Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, and Remedial Action Reports utilizing NJDEP compliance options.

• Conduct site assessment and remediation activities.

• Ensure all work is completed as planned and scheduled.

• Coordinate project tasks including administrative coordination, data management, budget development/monitoring, invoice review, subcontractor management, and report writing.

• Oversee the quality of deliverables throughout the project's lifecycle.

• Coordinate efforts of team members and subcontractors to manage projects according to the approved scope of work.

• Deliver quality products on time for leadership and client review as per the scope of work/proposal authorization.

• Conduct field investigations and assessments.

• Write and manage proposals.

• Oversee, manage, and mentor staff.

• Take overall responsibility for all portions of the services/reports managed and conducted, including text and appendices.

• Communicate with team members, managers, and clients regarding scope-of-work and client expectations throughout the project's term.

• Effectively communicate, understand, and complete project expectations in a timely and clear manner throughout the course of the project.

• Provide solid recommendations and solutions to managers and clients while understanding and achieving overall project goals.

• Identify and resolve project issues.

Essential Skills

TOP 3 SKILLS:

1) Extensive knowledge of NJDEP Regulations

2) Site-Remediation

3) LSRP License

• An environmental science-related degree (minimum of Bachelor's degree)

• Project management

• Soil sampling

• Groundwater sampling

• Experience with UST removals

• Site assessment

• HAZWOPER certification

• A book of business is a plus

Work Environment

The office is located in Piscataway and operates Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm, with overtime if needed. The office has a close-knit team of about 14 people, including scientists, project managers, and LSRPs. The work environment is collaborative, with a range of projects varying over different clients, providing a dynamic and engaging work experience.
