Overview

TRC Companies (TRC) is a national engineering and energy efficiency consulting firm that provides integrated services to the energy, environmental, and infrastructure markets across the United States. TRC serves a broad range of clients in the public and private sectors, implementing energy efficiency programs and complex projects from initial concept to delivery and operation.

TRC manages energy efficiency programs and is seeking an energetic NJ based Outreach Account Manager to engage with stakeholders across industries including local governments, commercial and industrial contractors, vendors, and customers regarding the implementation of energy efficiency and the programs available to assist them.

Responsibilities
  • Execute against an established outreach plan for the program-s brand and message.
  • Engage with customers and contractors regarding their energy savings opportunities with incentive and rebate program offerings.
  • Develop and execute outreach campaigns to engage various sectors and markets.
  • Provide sector intelligence by analyzing trends and summarizing data within given markets.
  • Identify outreach opportunities by ascertaining customer requirements and analyzing how the program can reach customers.
  • Manage and track campaigns, opportunities, activities, and contacts by utilizing the program-s CRM database in real time.
  • Attend tradeshows, local meetings, and events as necessary both virtually and in-person, to network, promote and educate New Jersey businesses on the benefits of program participation.
  • Be the face of the program within the assigned market sector or territory in New Jersey.
  • Build relationships with key organizations and stakeholders within the assigned market sector.
  • Create and submit presentation abstracts and newsletter material to applicable organizations to create program awareness.
  • Work with operations and project coordination staff to inform accurate project forecasting and market intelligence reports.
  • Contribute to regular outreach reports to track and measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide public relations support.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, business, engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing outreach strategies in the energy efficiency sector, or a related field.
  • New Jersey residency is required.
  • Valid US driver's license.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • An understanding of operating systems, computer hardware, software, multimedia, mobile devices, and associated applications.

Highly Qualified candidates will demonstrate:

  • Ability to engage customers, industry stakeholders, local government officials through phone, emails, and virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and client-focused.
  • New Construction market contacts that include builders, developers, architects, engineers, etc.
  • Experience evaluating the effectiveness of outreach strategies and suggesting alternatives.
  • Excellent public speaking and written communications skills.
  • Experience developing and editing professional reports.
  • Basic knowledge of CRM database software.
  • Ability to keep track of deadlines and forecasts of assignments with moderate scope.
  • Understanding of how to effectively engage multiple levels of decision making within a company across different target audiences.
  • Experience working with professional organizations and market sector decision makers.
  • Experience with commercial or industrial site energy efficiency evaluations or audits.
  • Understanding of LEED, Energy Star, and/or GRESB.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
