Robert Half Help Desk Analyst I in New Braunfels, Texas

Description We are seeking a Help Desk Analyst I located in New Braunfels, Texas. As part of our team, you will be focusing on providing IT support, investigating and implementing solutions to technical issues, and responding to technical help tickets. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity within an industry where innovation and constant change are the norm.

Responsibilities:

• Support local and field users through troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

• Respond to technical help tickets submitted via various communication channels such as phone, email, and walk-ups.

• Independently investigate and implement solutions to technical problems.

• Provide IT support for a variety of internal applications including Windows and Microsoft Office.

• Maintain and configure Windows OS, networked and local printers, and business applications.

• Assist in the administration and bug fixing in an Active Directory environment.

• Identify and propose solutions to recurring technical issues to address the root of the problems.

• Understand and apply basic TCP/IP networking concepts.

• Provide support for audio/visual setup.

• Manage IT support ticketing systems to ensure efficient and effective problem resolution. Requirements

• The candidate must possess strong skills in Desktop Support.

• The ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and software issues is required.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for this role.

• The ability to provide step-by-step technical help via phone or email is essential.

• Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs is needed.

• The candidate must have the ability to handle multiple calls and prioritize tasks.

• Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are necessary.

• The candidate should have a strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field is preferred.

• The ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure is essential.

• The candidate should be able to work well in a team and coordinate with other departments.

• A customer-oriented approach is required for this role.

• The ability to learn and adapt to changes in technology is crucial.

• The candidate must have the ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other common business applications is preferred.

• The candidate should have a strong understanding of customer support principles and practices.
